Audio Engineer – Freelance

BACKGROUND

WHITE64 Studios is an expansion of WHITE64, a full-service creative agency. W64 Studios is a production and post-production shop with a new facility opened in 2019. The studio produces everything from national broadcast campaigns (both tv and radio) to web and social videos to podcasts. We’re looking for a self-starter who can hit the ground running and contribute to the growth of our studio!

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Audio Engineer to record VO, mix, sound design and edit music and audio for our productions. This person will be responsible for managing and operating the equipment in our audio suite. We need an experienced and creative individual with a passion for sound and an ear for music. THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with creative directors, producers and editors
  • Prepare audio equipment before shoots or sessions
  • Record, edit, sound design and mix
  • Develop sound effects library and expand upon existing sfx
  • Monitor levels and ensure audio is captured at the highest quality

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Expertise in sound engineering techniques
  • Working knowledge of recording software and hardware
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Personable and has a strong ability to interface with clients
  • Musical background with an interest in contributing to creative concepting
  • Have samples of your work available to show!

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Related degree (marketing, advertising, media, etc.)
  • Motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial skills
  • Proficient in ProTools
  • Comfortable operating the Raven Slate Production Console
  • Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro is a plus
