WHITE64 is seeking a Senior UI Designer with a passion for modern and artful web design. This role focuses primarily on UI design, creating visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces for websites and other digital projects. You will provide guidance and mentorship to other designers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and entrepreneurial thinking. While you’ll contribute to wireframes and UX principles, your primary responsibility will be visual design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design elegant, modern, award-worthy websites and user interfaces for front-end development.
- Create visual design assets for web properties and other digital media, such as banner graphics, digital ads, storyboards, social media graphics, and more.
- Coordinate design process with your counterparts in related disciplines such as UX strategy, copywriting, video production and engineering.
- Present design concepts to internal audiences and clients for feedback and approval.
- Advocate for modern best practices in digital design including accessibility, responsiveness, performance and interactivity.
- Collaborate with other designers on projects, and provide mentorship in digital design strategy, tools and professional development
- Effectively manage time and concurrent design efforts.
- Provide estimates on the level of effort for requested projects.
- Assist in fostering a culture of innovative, knowledge sharing and entrepreneurial thinking on the team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of responsive and interaction design experience.
- Expert knowledge of UI design tools, particularly Figma.
- Experience working with content management systems and hosted platforms such as WordPress.
- Strong presentation skills, in particular a passion for communicating how design concepts align with brand and business goals..
- Strong expertise in designing for online accessibility requirements.
- Working knowledge of front-end development concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in visual design or relevant expertise.
- Strong portfolio of web and digital design work.
- Comfortable working as part of a busy creative team; agency experience strongly preferred.
