Associate Account Director

Role Overview

The best client relationships aren’t managed — they’re built. At WHITE64, the Associate Account Director is the person who makes that happen day to day. You’re the strategic connective tissue between what clients need and what our teams deliver: running integrated accounts, mentoring junior team members, managing budgets, and earning the kind of trust that turns clients into long-term partners. This is a senior role for someone who has been around the agency block, knows how to navigate complexity, and is ready to step into full account ownership. The Account Director title is the logical next step — and we’re invested in helping you get there.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact across assigned accounts, acting as a trusted strategic partner and brand steward
  • Translate client business goals into clear internal briefs, ensuring strategy is upheld through creative development and execution
  • Manage SOW scopes, account budgets, and profitability in close partnership with the Account Director and PM team
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and surface them for strategic development
  • Mentor Account Managers and Assistant Account Managers, providing coaching and day-to-day guidance
  • Partner cross-functionally with Creative, Strategy, Media, and Project Management to drive integrated, high-quality delivery
  • Contribute to new business efforts and pitch development as directed

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of account management experience in an integrated marketing or creative agency environment
  • Hands-on experience across branding, advertising, paid media, digital, and content marketing
  • Financial fluency — comfortable managing budgets, tracking profitability, and having money conversations with clients
  • Strong communicator and confident presenter at the senior client level
  • Analytical and results-oriented; conversant in marketing KPIs and what they mean for a client’s business
  • People leadership experience — has mentored or managed junior account team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field; MBA a plus
