Role Overview
Good media work isn’t just about placing ads — it’s about putting the right message in front of the right person at the right moment. At WHITE64, the Junior Media Planner / Buyer is where a media career starts in earnest: activating real campaigns, for real clients, with real money on the line. You’ll support paid media across digital and traditional channels, learn to read and act on performance data, and build the instincts for a long-term career in media. This is a craft-building role, and we’re invested in your growth. If you’re analytically curious, detail-oriented by nature, and genuinely excited about how advertising works, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Activate and manage paid media campaigns across programmatic display and video, paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest), paid search (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads), and CTV/OTT — under the guidance of senior buyers
- Assist with planning and buying across traditional channels including broadcast, radio, print, and out-of-home as part of integrated campaign plans
- Monitor campaign pacing and delivery; flag discrepancies and bring optimization recommendations to senior team members before they become problems
- Build and send insertion orders, traffic creative assets, confirm flight dates, and reconcile invoices against contracts
- Pull, QA, and visualize campaign performance data using platform reporting, GA4, Looker Studio, and internal dashboards; contribute to client-facing reporting decks
- Conduct audience, competitive, and vendor research to inform media plan recommendations
- Maintain accurate buy details in agency systems (Advantage and Strata/FreeWheel) and support monthly billing reconciliation
- Build relationships with media reps and stay current on emerging platforms, ad formats, and measurement approaches — then bring what you learn back to the team
Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in media, digital marketing, analytics, or an agency environment (internships count)
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business, Analytics, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- Strong Excel skills — formulas, pivot tables, and comfort working with large data sets
- Analytical curiosity — you can spot a number that looks off and you want to know why
- Detail-oriented and organized; you can juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines without things falling through the cracks
- Collaborative by nature and receptive to feedback; you understand good media work is a team effort
- A genuine interest in how advertising works — platforms, targeting, measurement, and what makes a campaign actually perform
