Media Planner/Media Buyer

WHITE64 is seeking a skilled Media Buyer to join our team. As a Media Buyer, you will play a crucial role in planning, negotiating, and executing advertising placements across various media channels, collaborating with creative teams to ensure campaigns are impactful and effective. Your primary goal will be to optimize our media investments to ensure maximum exposure and return on investment (ROI) for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective media strategies aligned with campaign objectives and target audience profiles, based on client’s business and marketing goals.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to determine the most suitable media channels (digital, print, broadcast, OOH, etc.) for reaching target demographics.
  • Negotiate and purchase advertising space or time slots across multiple platforms, ensuring cost-effective placements.
  • Manage advertising budgets effectively, optimizing spending to achieve the highest ROI.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media vendors and publishers to secure advantageous contracts and pricing.
  • Monitor and analyze media performance metrics (e.g., CPM, CPC, CPA) to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven adjustments as needed to ensure media is having a positive impact on desired KPIs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  • Prepare regular reports on media campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Media Buyer or similar role in media planning and buying, preferably in an advertising agency.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in analyzing data and interpreting media metrics.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and advantageous media placements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently when required.
  • Knowledge of media trends, consumer behavior, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in media buying software and tools (e.g., Advantage, Strata/Freewheel, programmatic platforms) and familiarity with digital analytics platforms.

Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mass media communications, advertising, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of Buyer/Planner experience, preferably with an ad agency
  • Must have exceptional Excel skills, with knowledge of formulas, calculating, and manipulating data comfortably within Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in the Strata/FreeWheel media buying platform
  • Analytical thinking, communication, persuasion, and research abilities
  • Enjoy working within collaborative teams and finding inspiration and ideas from anywhere
